werner 3 foot step stoolNovember 24, 2008 I purchased this step stool to have better access to my kitchen cabinets, however I have found many uses for it all around the house. It is very sturdy, even when standing on the third step. It folds flat and can be stored standing up in a closet. The mechanism that locks the stool into place is a little difficult to unlock but I guess this is a good feature. This will probably loosen up as I use it. It is a great height for all of my needs. I am very happy with this purchase.

This is a very stable step stool that allows you to have a nice reach. It is not heavy to have to carry to where you need it. It is easy to open and locks securely in place. It folds very compactly for storage.

After reading the reviews of more than a dozen step ladders, we selected this one because the third step makes a huge difference in reaching the top of our cabinets. The steps are slip-resistant, and wide enough that my 4 year old can sit on the top step and "cook" at the kitchen counter. I also like the locking feature - you can easily tell if you have properly set the stool up before you step on it. And it folds down (not quite as easily as I had thought it would) to take up minimal space when not in use. It is a very sturdy little ladder that I expect will last a very long time (we have had ours now for about 2 months).

I have had several different step ladders - I need them to reach higher cupboards in my kitchen and pantry - all the 3 step ladders were just too heavy - I bought this one hoping it would indeed be lightweight and easy to move around - 5 stars on both counts.
