The rug pad does the job adequately. Sometimes, I still need to pull the moved rug a bit. However, it is a thousand times better than before when we did not have the pad. I am not sure whether more expensive pad will do the job better. In a nutshell, it is worth the money and matchs well with my inexpensive rug.

This mat keeps my rug firmly in place and prevents my kids from falling over it. Easy to cut to size. Good stuff

I don't know what the other reviewer was talking about that HD has it cheaper. I went and looked based on their review, and they do have cheaper rug pads, however they're smaller. I figured out the square footages, and I'd have paid about $5 more purchasing HD ones than this one. Maybe that reviewer's HD is right next to the rug pad factory or something.
